Lake Buena Vista, FL – Today, AMERIND, the country’s only 100 percent Tribally owned insurance carrier, announced the national winners of its 2025 Safety Poster Contest. This nationwide contest invites Native American children from kindergarten through eighth grade to create a poster promoting safety in Indian Country.
Local housing authorities are encouraged to host the AMERIND Safety Poster Contest. Winners are selected from each age category and sent to the Regional Housing Association for voting. Regional winners are submitted to AMERIND for national online voting.
The following national winners will be awarded $1,000:
• Kindergarten through grade three: Leonidas McGirt, Absentee Shawnee Housing Authority
• Grades four through six: Layla Kowena, Comanche Nation Housing Authority
• Grades seven and eight: Brooklyn Miller, Poarch Creek Indian Housing Dept.
